Rodney Marsalis was born in New Orleans where he began his musical studies at the age of six. After studying with his cousin, Wynton Marsalis, he made his debut as a soloist with the New Orleans Symphony at the age of 16, and with the Boston Pops Orchestra under the baton of John Williams at the age of 19. In the course of his more than 20 years as an orchestral musician, Rodney was the winner of several national and international competitions for titled orchestral chairs and performed as soloist with many orchestras throughout the US and Europe. After founding The Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass, he saw a need in the music industry for an agency that is run by and for musicians, and thus founded Marsalis Mansion Artists, LLC. In addition to his regular touring, Rodney is a frequent guest lecturer on music business at colleges and universities throughout the United States and abroad.

Mr. Marsalis was born in New Orleans, Louisiana where he began his musical studies at the age of six. When he was eleven years of age, he began taking classical trumpet lessons with his cousin, Wynton Marsalis. Referred to as a "trumpet prodigy" his solo debut was at the age of fifteen with the New Orleans Symphony. After having won various solo competitions, he received national attention at the age of nineteen performing as soloist with the Boston Pops Orchestra. He has also performed as soloist with the San Diego Symphony, the Tenerife Symphony, the Orquestra Sinfonica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya, The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and many orchestras throughout the United States and Europe.

Dennis Jeter,
Interim Executive Director

Since November of 1993, Dennis has been the Director of Special Projects for Wynton Marsalis Enterprises. In this position, Mr. Jeter has served as the tour manager, press liaison, technology advisor and personal assistant to Mr. Marsalis.

Natalie Higgins,
Tour Manager

Natalie Brooke Higgins, DMA, is an active performer, educator, administrator, and entrepreneur located in Reno, Nevada.  She currently holds the positions of associate artist and tour manager of the Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass, hornist and founding member of both the BrassHaus Network and the Alias Brass Company, media coordinator for the International Horn Competition of America, and Assistant Professor of Horn at the University of Nevada, Reno.
