Rodney Marsalis,
Founder and CEO
Mr. Marsalis was born in New Orleans, Louisiana where he began his musical studies at the age of six. When he was eleven years of age, he began taking classical trumpet lessons with his cousin, Wynton Marsalis. Referred to as a "trumpet prodigy" his solo debut was at the age of fifteen with the New Orleans Symphony. After having won various solo competitions, he received national attention at the age of nineteen performing as soloist with the Boston Pops Orchestra. He has also performed as soloist with the San Diego Symphony, the Tenerife Symphony, the Orquestra Sinfonica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya, The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and many orchestras throughout the United States and Europe.
Dennis Jeter,
Interim Executive Director
Since November of 1993, Dennis has been the Director of Special Projects for Wynton Marsalis Enterprises. In this position, Mr. Jeter has served as the tour manager, press liaison, technology advisor and personal assistant to Mr. Marsalis.

Charity Putman joins Marsalis Mansion Artists as the Director of Operations, bringing a wealth of experience in arts management and compliance. With a robust background as a compliance officer, she expertly navigated regulatory challenges, ensuring organizational integrity and operational efficiency. As the Executive Director of the Cayman National Orchestra, Charity demonstrates her exceptional leadership skills, fostering creativity while enhancing community engagement through music. Her passion for the arts, combined with her strategic mindset, positions her as an invaluable asset to Marsalis Mansion Artists. Charity is dedicated to driving success for the artists, ensuring seamless collaborations with presenters, and ensuring seamless operations within the organization.
